Coyoacan, Mexico City - A street scene shows in Coyoacan shows some residents getting ready to board a bus near Plaza Coyoacan.  Coyoacan's name comes from Nahuatl it likely meaning "place of coyotes".  Hernán Cortes and the Spanish conquistadors used this area as a headquarters during the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. They also made it the first capital of New Spain between 1521 and 1523.  In recent times, has been a counterculture hotbed and where Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera lived, a few blocks away from Leon Trotsky.  Due the historic and cultural relevance, their homes are now the Frida Kahlo Museum and the Leon Trotsky Museum, which are visited by thousands of tourists every year.
