Members of the "Caravan for Peace with Justice and Dignity" held a rally and vigil at the Civic Space Park in Downtown Phoenix. All six young women disappeared in the state of Nuevo Leon, in Mexico. The caravan is led by Mexican poet, essayist, novelist, and journalist Javier Sicilia, whose son Juan Francisco Sicilia Ortega son was brutally murdered along with six other students in Morelos, Mexico by members of a drug cartel on March 28, 2011. In response, Sicilia created the Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity --popularly known as ¡Ya Estamos Hasta la Madre! or We Have Had It!-- calling for an end the drug cartels bloodshed.
