Mexico City - La Casa Azul or Blue House of famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is located in the Town of Coyoacán, in south Mexico City. Today it houses the Frida Kahlo Museum (Museo Frida Kahlo) where some of Frida's belongings and artifacts are on display. The Blue House of Frida Kahlo is a favorite destination for tourists from around the world. The house belonged to Kahlo's family. Guillermo Kahlo, Frida's father, built the house in 1904. Frida was born in the Blue House in 1907 and died in 1954, also in the same house. Frida's husband, famous muralist Diego Rivera, bought the house and later donated it in 1957, the same year he died.
