Phoenix, Arizona. April 25, 2012 - Tony Verdugo, one of the six protesters who blocked Central Avenue, was the first to be arrested by Phoenix Police Officers. About 500 people protested the controversial law on the same day U.S. Supreme Court justices heard legal arguments on the Arizona vs. United States case. At the end of the march, six activists blocked Central Avenue by sitting in the middle of the street. They all were arrested by the Phoenix Police Department and taken to the Fourth Avenue County Jail. Photo by Eduardo Barraza © 2012
