Mesa, Arizona. October 28, 2012 - The Day of the Dead is a religious holiday celebrated in Mexico with a solemn mood to remember dead loved ones. However, in the Southwest of the United States and in states like Arizona, the holiday takes a form of a cultural festivity, the turning the traditional "Día de los Muertos" into a festival-like event. Edgard Medrano, his wife and daughter attended the Dead Celebration at the Mesa Arts Center.
